Small Classical | 2024

This small classical guitar – built on a 7/8 or 630mm scale length – was custom designed for a player in France. The body shape is the same also used for my steel string 00 guitar model. This is a very comfortable shape and size for many people, but especially those of slightly smaller stature. The guitar included a number of elements inspired by classical guitars of the 18th and 19th centuries such as the pyramid bridge, the v-neck joint between the neck and headstock, and the friction peg tuners, which in this case are actually Wittner mechanical tuners for convenience. All of the woods are either domestic European woods or from very select sources I am convinced avoid the moral pitfalls of most tropical guitar timbers.
