12-Fret Dreadnought | 2020

This custom order was inspired by the very first dreadnought made by the Martin Company for Ditson in 1916. The shape of the guitar was modified slightly to produce more pleasing curves than the original. Tortoise binding and headstock overlay together with a simple black-white rosette and purfling, and a pyramid bridge are intended to focus the eye on the guitar’s shape, the beautiful brown of the torrefied Adirondack top and, above all, the amazing flamed mahogany back and sides. Keeping with the theme, the guitar was finished with a shellac French polish.
