000 Euro Spruce/Walnut | 2025

This 000 was my first experiment with a full lattice bracing, similar to those very common among modern classical guitar builders. The regularity of the bracing is designed to give a more even balanceacross the frequency range and the lightness of the total top weight increases overall loudness. The result is excellent – the guitar has a beautiful response very similar to my other x-braced guitars, but with a clear added punch in the middle range.

The flamed walnut is a wonderful match to the spruce and holly binding. The same walnut is used in the laminations for the neck – a practice of using the cutoffs from the back pieces in an intelligent way. Like all my guitars, the top has been deflection tested for maximal responsiveness.
